Funeral services were scheduled for this afternoon at Almond for Guy Calkins, 73, of Williston, N.D., a former resident of Almond who died suddenly at his home at Williston.
The Rev. Ralph Deal, pastor of the Almond and Plainfield Baptist Churches, was to conduct the services at the Goult-Gasperic Funeral Chapel at Almond. Burial was to be in the Almond Cemetery.
Mr. Calkins was born at Sherwood, in Clark County, on March 24, 1902, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Calkins. He lived at Almond until 1943, then served for a year in military service during World War II. He was a farmer and had lived in North Dakota since his discharge from the service. He was not married.
He is survived by a brother, Harold Calkins, Almond, and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Schenck, Beloit, and Mrs. Hannah Sherwood, in Florida.
