Mother of V. Whaley Dies at Webster City; Funeral Rites Tuesday

Mrs. N. J. Whaley, Webster City, mother of Vernon Whaley, 1716 Carolina S.E., died at a hospital in Webster City Saturday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home at Webster City. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery there.

Besides her son here Mrs. Whaley is survived by 2 other sons and 2 daughters as follows: Mark and John of Webster City; Mrs. Mack McMickle, Des Moines, and Merle, at home. There are 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband 3 years ago.

Mrs. Whaley was a member of the Christian church. She was past president of the Daughters of Union Veterans in Webster City.

WEBSTER CITY - Services were held here Monday for Mrs. N.J. Whaley, 78, mother of S.L. McMickle, Des Moines. Mrs. Whaley died at the Hamilton county hospital Saturday after a short illness. Other survivors include three sons John and Mark, Webster City, and Vernon, Mason City, and another daughter, Merle Whaley, Webster City.
