Nathaniel was born in Rusk Co. Texas to John Ellis Bean and his wife, Henrietta Dannenburg on June 11, 1874. He grew up and married Mary 'Candas' Dickerson (1879-1963). They had at least 9 children.

HIS CHILDREN;

1. EMMETT C. BEAN

2. INEZ BEAN--married William Gaston. Both are buried in the Kilgore City Cemetery. They had a son, William T. Gaston (1928-1973)

3. THOMAS 'TOM' STARR BEAN--b. Jan 6, 1904 and died Jan. 9, 1975 in Medical Center Hospital, Tyler, Tx.-Smith Co. He married Mary Eloise "Ella" Borders. They had no children. Both are buried in the Kilgore City Cemetery.

4. STANLEY CHARLES BEAN--1909-1972. He lived in Houston, Tx. all his life, but was buried in the Kilgore City Cemetery.

5. WILLIAM 'BILL' BEAN--married Wilma Bradley. They raised 3 children, Janis, William Jr., and Phyllis. Wilma then went back to school and became a school teacher in the Kilgore public school system. Bill and Wilma are buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Anderson, Tx.

6. MARY 'LUCY' BEAN--married Ellie Jones of Dallas, Tx. They had 3 children, Judy, Barbara, and Mike.

7. NATHANIEL BRANDENSTEIN BEAN JR.--lived in Dallas, Tx. He was married to Annata. They had a son, N.B. the 3nd and daughter, Beth Ann. He is buried in Restland Mausoleum, Greenville Ave., Dallas, Tx.

8. FRANCES BEAN--married Mr. Allen Fidel.

9. CALLIE BEAN--married Douglas H. Thompson. Both are buried in the Kilgore City Cemetery. They had 2 sons, Butch who was a Jr. and Tommy.
