ANNA ELEANOR TOWNSEND, 92, died on May 21, 2009. She was born Aug. 29, 1916, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Eleanor and Albert Scheetz. She was a longtime resident of Washington, D.C. and Silver Spring, Md. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Townsend, a sergeant on the D.C. police force.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne Boyd, of Little Rock; three grandchildren, David Boyd of Little Rock, Allison Boyd of Denver, Colo., and Michael Boyd and his wife, Melanie, of Maumelle; and three greatgrandchildren, Colin, Lane, and Ellie Boyd.
The family wishes to express its gratitude to the staff of Parkway Heights Assisted Living facility for their care and concern.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 25th at 1 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Md.
Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society or the Knights of Columbus.
