Covington Cement Block Contractor Dies Early Today

Covington, July 8 - Illness of several weeks following a paralytics stroke ended at 4:20 A.M. today in the death of Rolland Boggs, 80, well known cement block contractor of this village at the home of his son, Harry, 200 Linden Avenue in Piqua.

A native of Covington, Boggs with his son and family had moved two months ago to Piqua from Bradford where they had resided for a number of years. The deceased with his brother Edward who died some years ago operated a cement block plant here for many years.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Covington and well-known throughout this section.

His wife Ida Frey Boggs preceded him in death in 1920.

Survivors include two sons, Harry of Piqua and Charles of Bradford; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Jay of Pleasant Hill, and Mrs. Pearl Inman of Dayton; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
