UINTAH, Weber County - Mrs. Evangeline Gale, 84, widow of William H. Gale, died Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. at her home in Uintah following a long illness.

Mrs. Gale was born August 10, 1858, in Spanish For, a daughter of Henry Rogers and Margaret Boyack Cleveland. On February 27, 1870, she was married to Hyrum Stoddard in the Salt Lake LDS endowment house. Mr. Stoddard died February 19, 1889, in Uintah, and in 1896 she was married to Mr. Gale, who died in Uintah February 4, 1940.

She was a member of the Uintah LDS ward and she was active in ward affairs during her earlier years.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Margaret S. Cook and Hyrum F Stoddard of Ogde and Hazel Gale of Uintah; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Olie Earl and Henry Cleveland of Centerville and Mrs. Jesse Markham of Spanish Fork.
