Mr. Pomeroy, a retired watchman at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, died November 20, 1985, in the home of his daughters. He was 77.
He was born April 20, 1908, in Farry, Oklahoma. He married Stella Campbell in September 1929 in Bates, Arkansas. They moved to Colorado in the early 1930s. He became a security patrolman at the Colorado School of Mines Research Foundation, and was a resident of Golden for 50 years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Edward H. Pomeroy of Boulder, three daughters, Delores Bowman of Sedona, Arizona, Rosaline Lochman of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Ellen Baxter of North Little Rock, four sisters, Nellie Steele of Denver, Una Hardenberger of Golden, Lucy Bolejack of Wheat Ridge, and Mable Richmyer of Edgewater, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
