Margaret worked for 16 years at Birmingham Southern College as Assoc. VP for endowment and planned giving; her work earned her national recognition for most outsanding office of Planned Giving for private colleges. She also served on the Endowment Foundation of South Highland Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. Margaret also enjoyed nature and the outdoors, joining the Birmingham Audubon Society, the AL. State Wildflower Society and the Horticulture Club; evidence of the long line of horticulturalists and farmers from which she came.
