FINAL RITES FOR VIOLET L. (BRITT) ROBINSON
Mrs. Violet Leona (Britt) Robinson passed away, January 9, 1969 at a Mason City Hospital. She was born August 10, 1893 near Sublett, Mo., to Samuel and Dora (Crow) Britt.
She was united in marriage to Alva Burton Robinson, April 9, 1913 at Kirksville, Mo. To this union five children were born, Keith of Waterloo, Ia., Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) Asphal of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. A. L. (Hope) Folkama of rural Mason City, Ia., Mrs. Harry (Shirley) Flynn of Cleveland, Ohio and Richard of Omaha, Nebr. All the children attended the funeral services and also nine of the fifteeen grandchildren and four of the eight great grandchildren.
He[r] husband survives and is now living in Good Shepherd Home in Mason City, Ia.
Mrs. Robinson had been a member of the Free Methodist Church of Mason City for many years and had held many offices and worked in many capacities of the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elmer.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 11th at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Donald L. Spicer, pastor of the Free Methodist Church officiated.
A close friend, Miss Mildred Farrington played organ music and Mrs. Donald Spicer sang, "It Is Well With My Soul" and "In The Garden."
Burial was in Memorial Park, located betwe[e]n Mason City and Clear Lake, Ia.
The Robinsons resided in Greentop several years. They made yearly trips here to visit relatives and friends.
