Viola E. Burmeister
Viola Emily Burmeister, 88, a resident of the Broen Home, died Monday, Sept. 26, at Lake Region Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Broen Memorial Home Chapel, with the Rev. Joseph Korf officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Burmeister was born Jan. 24, 1900, in Fairbank, Iowa, one of eight children of John and Mary (Michels) Teberg. As a child, she moved with her family to Western Township, where she attended school. She later moved to Fergus Falls.

She and Ernest C. Burmeister were married Aug. 27, 1921, in Fergus Falls. He died April 22, 1984.
She was employed at the Cigar Factory in Fergus Falls and was later self-employed as a babysitter. She became a resident of the Broen Home in 1985.

She is survived by a son, Wayne Burmeister of Fergus Falls, and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, and will resume one hour prior to the service Thursday at the Broen Home chapel.
