Mrs. Clara Eckholt, 78, of 1145 N. Edward St., died in St. Mary's Hospital at 7:30 p.m. yesterday. She had been ill 2 yaers & seriously ill a week.
A resident of Decatur since 1924, she came here from Oconee. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Mrs. Eckholt was born in Oconee 21Nov1874, a daughter of Mathias & Elizabeth Schmitz. She was married to John B. Eckholt in Oconee in 1896. He preceded her in death.
She leaves a son, William of Decatur; & a sister, Mrs. Theodore Beck of Ramsey.
Requiem high mass will be 9 a.m. Monday in St. Thomas Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the J. J. Moran & Sons funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
