Margaret was their 3rd child and first girl.
She married Edwin Lee "Barney" Owens on April 16th, 1942 in Eugene, Oregon. Margaret was born on and lived all of her 84 years within about 1/10 mile of land on Horton Road. She was a homemaker and good cook. In her healthy years, she had a vegetable garden every summer and beautiful flowers. Margaret also cared for her mother Clara in the early 1980's when her memory started to fail her. She made sure she ate and bathed and fixed her meals until Clara's death in December of 1982.
Husband Barney passed away in 2002. Her father, 3 brothers, and a sister also preceded her in death. Daughter Denise passed away in 2010. She is survived by sister Nellie Elam of Pinehurst, Idaho, daughter Carrie of Eugene, son Leo of Deadwood, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews as well. She was a special lady.
