ALTA PINKERTON DIES AT HOME NEAR NOVINGER
Funeral Services Saturday Afternoon In Kirksville
Mrs. Alta Pinkerton, 57, died Thursday at her home on Route 1, Novinger.
Funeral services will be held at the Dee Riley Funeral Home, where the body will lie in state, Saturday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Rev. Archie Cooper, of Kirksville. Interment will be in the Hall cemetery. Mrs. Pinkerton was the daughter of Willard and Duffie (Lowe) Dudley and was born near Yarrow June 14, 1894. She was married to Henry E. Pinkerton June 26, 1913, in Adair county and three children were born to this marriage. She was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, William, of Worthington, and Lyle, of Peoria, Ill.; one half-brother, Virgil Dudley, Kirksville; four sisters, Mrs. Roy (Maudie) Bragg, Mrs. Merl (Ollie) Bragg, both of Novinger, Mrs. Elmer (Ethel) Hays, Yarrow, and Mrs. Otto (Ada) Cook, of Shelbina; her stepmother, Mrs. Ethel Dudley, Kirksville, and four grandchildren, one of whom Henry Howard Cooley, lives in the home.
Mrs. Pinkerton was a member of the Methodist Church. Bearers will be: Roy Bragg, Merl Bragg, Levern Bragg, Hollis Bragg, Elmer Hays and Otto Cook.
