Kenny Trantham, age 44, of Marble, NC; passed away Thursday October 28, 2010 at his home.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of Kenneth "Nebo" and Barbara Taylor Trantham. He was a member and Deacon of the Marble Springs Baptist Church, a member of Valleytown Rural Fire Department and a machinist at Team Industries. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking, especially making furniture. Kenny was a children's advocate and foster parent for several years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Homer and Mae Taylor and two infant children.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Rhonda Trantham; two sons, Hunter and Harley Trantham and one daughter, Heather Trantham all of Marble, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Marble Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Maynard officiating. Music will be provided by the Marble Springs Baptist Church Mens Group. Interment will be in the Moss Cemetery in Marble, NC. Pallbearers will be Mike Griggs, Keith Cochran, Danny Rich, Harold Poss Postell, Brandon Hyde, Mike Hodge and Steve Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be the Marble Springs Baptist Church Deacons and the Valleytown Rural Fire Department.
The family will recieve friends from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Marble Springs Baptist Church in Marble, NC.
