Edward Wallace was a victim of melancholia which had developed form death of his wife several years ago and from poor health. Not being able to stand the terrible depression any longer he ended his life with a shot through the heart at his home in Maple Park, Tuesday morning , Nov. 18. Mr. Wallace's body was found by Andrew Peterson, who took Mr. Wallace's meals to him and looked after him.
Edward Wallace was on of the most respected and highly esteemed citizens of Maple Park where he had resided almost all his life. He is survived by his only son Everett Wallace of this city who was married a few years ago to Miss Vivian Beckler of Sycamore, daughter of Mayor J.D. Beckler and by two grandchildren.
The Funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the Maple Park Methodist Church and the burial was in the Pierce cemetery beside his wife for whom he mourned so continually.
