Charles F. McBrearty, 91, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital.
He was retired from the Civil Service as a Military Equipment Specialist. He served in the US Army during WWII and retired from the US Army.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Margaret McBrearty; five sons, Charles McBrearty and wife Linda, Michael McBrearty and wife Cindy, Patrick McBrearty, Andrew McBrearty and wife Anne, and Sean McBrearty and wife Wanda; two daughters, Susan Faint and husband Don, and Barbara Little and husband Scott; sister, May Neu; nineteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 5:30-7PM, followed by a Rosary. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 4, 2010 by Father Joy Chalissery at Our Lady, Queen of the Universe. Internment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the USO.
