Opal Tressie Wagoner of Jerome passed away on February 6, 2012 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, MO. Opal was born in Dixon, MO February 25, 1923 to Carl Franklin and Ola Mae (Brumble) Brittain. On January 23, 1939 she was united in marriage to Ben F Wagoner and to this union four children were born. Opal was a housewife and loving mother, she learned to sew and cook at an early age. She worked at Brown Shoe Factory in Dixon, MO for several years. She enjoyed making quilts and keeping house for her family. She enjoyed many family gatherings visiting with friends and family.

Opal is survived by her son Eugene and wife Oma Wagoner of Dixon, MO, her daughter Alice and husband Tim Jones of Doolittle, MO, her daughter-in-law Betty Wagoner of Dixon, MO and her sister Shirley Trimble of Miami, Oklahoma, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Opal had 9 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 15 Great Great Grandchildren. Opal is preceded in death by her husband Ben F Wagoner, her son George Roy Wagoner, her daughter Peggy Sue Wagoner, her daughter-in-law Carol Wagoner, grandson James Allen "Jayder" Jones, a sister Frieda Ramsey and brother Fred Brittain.

Visitation will be Thursday February 9, 2012 from 5 to 8 at the Teague And Sons Funeral Home in Newburg, MO. The funeral service will be Friday February 10, 2012 at 12 pm at Teague And Sons, with interment at Dixon City Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Teague and Sons Funeral Home.
