Elyria for most of his life until he
moved to Michigan in June 1994.
Mr. Kuss was employed by
Thew Shovel-Koehring Division;
Bower Dairy and was retired from
Oberlin College.
: He was a veteran of World War
II, where he was an editor of two
military service newspapers while
stationed in Labrador. His service
decorations included the American
Theater Ribbon and World
War II Victory MedaL
He was active in the Elyria Jaycees,
the Active Seniors Fellowship,
Jolly '60s, Primetimers and
Mature Saints organizations. He
was a member of Maranatha Ministries.
His hobbies included baseball,
traveling and enjoying his grandchildren
Survivors include his daughter,
Holly Richard of Grandville,
Mich.; a sister, Barbara Markle of
Columbus; two grandchildren; and
a close friend, Ann Lojo, of Casper,
Wyo.He was preceded in death by his
wife, Helen in 1980.
A memorial service will be held
at l pm. Friday at the First
Assembly of God, 525 North Abbe
Road, Elyria. A graveside service
will follow at 2 pm at Brookdale
Cemetery.
