"Mrs Sophronia, wife of the late Lewis Silsby died last Thursday morning of bronchial trouble, aged 79 years. Mrs. Silsby had been in feeble health for several year and her death was not unexpected. she was a conscientious Christian lady highly respected, and had been a lifelong resident of Lunenburg. Her husband, Lewis Silsby, died 33 years ago. Out of a family of 11 children, 9 are now living, and all but two of them attended the funeral. A daughter living in Illinois and a son in New York were unable to be present. Two of her sons live in this county, David M. Silsby at Lyndonville and Elwin A. Silsby at St. Johnsbury. The funeral occurred Saturday afternoon from her late home, and the interment was at Lunenburg."
