Mrs. Anthony, a member of Christian Endeavor United Methodist Church, died Oct. 16, 2000, at Arlington Nursing home in Newark. She was born May 26, 1904, in Darke County, to the late Ben and Verna (Reichard) Delk.
She is survived by: her children, W. Eugene (Patricia) Anthony, Bob M. (Dorothy) Anthony all of Greenville, Herbert Jr. (Norma) Anthony of Arcanum, Betty (William) Eifinger of Newark, Phyllis (Craig) Hindman of Heath, and Kenneth (Donna) Anthony, and Sharon Anthony all of Newark; sister, Martha [Delk] Westfall of Fort Myers, Fla.; 23 grandchildren; 33 greatgrandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert R. Anthony in 1975; daughter, Doris A. Wortman in 1981; brother, Elmer Delk; and two grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Christian Endeavor United Methodist Church, 1415 Londondale Pkwy., Newark, and from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Abbottsville United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Endeavor United Methodist Memorial Fund, or Hospice of Central Ohio, 1435-B W. Main St., Newark, Ohio 43055.
