Actress. She was one of Hollywood's leading actresses of the mid and late 1920s during the Silent Era. With her trademark short haircut and high energy, she had become to be considered a signature star of her era, summing up an entire generation of ambitious, smart and fun-loving flappers in motion pictures that include "Ella Cinders" (1926), "Irene" (1926) and "Orchids and Ermine" (1928). She retired from the screen but enjoyed tremendous success in her various investment deals after managing of her own production company during her heyday.
