Beriah King; son of Consider King and Sarah Palmer, was born on 06 Feb 1763 in Rochester, Plymouth, Massachusetts and moved with the family to Hillsdale, Columbia, New York after the family homestead was sold on 06 Apr 1779.

After the death of his father Consider King in 1786, his eldest son Ebenezer King stayed in Rochester, son Reuben King moved to Rensselaerville, Albany, New York and second son Beriah King stayed in Hillsdale, where on 21 Mar 1792 he was a charter member of Green River Congregational parish with his widowed mother Sarah (Palmer) King.

The family of Beriah King moved to Coeymans, Albany, New York in 1800, where they had a female in the household age 45+ consistent with his widowed mother Sarah (Palmer) KIng, and remained there until they moved to Scipio, Cayuga, New York where on 10 Mar 1807 Beriah King purchased 126 acres of land in lot 85 adjacent east of the 500 acres of Gamaliel Palmer; a nephew of widow Sarah (Palmer) King and a first cousin of Beriah King.

In Scipio, the household of Beriah King had two females age 45+ in the 1810 US Census and then just one female age 45+ in the 1820 US Census, since his widowed mother Sarah (Palmer) King died on 28 Dec 1814.

Also in the 1810 US Census, Beriah King had two males under age 10 rather than just one. These two sons were Calvin King, whose baptism in Coeymans was recorded by the pastor from Green River Congregational on a mission dated 01 Nov 1804, and Beriah King, who appears to have inherited the farm in Venice initially and then sold it to Calvin King in a deed dated 25 Mar 1855 in which Beriah King and his wife Mary Ann are residents of Detroit, Michigan.
