Beloved husband of Katherine Belt; devoted father of Diane (Jeff) Zitzman, Julie (Paul) Needham and Becky (Rick) Rose; grandfather of Amber Zitzman, Holly (Jason) Rucker, Michael and Jennifer Needham, Eric and Katherine Ann Rose. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Dot (Pat) Meakin, a brother-in-law, Chuck Wilson and nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 11 a.m. at Chevy Chase Methodist Church, 7001 Connecticut Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD. Interment Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
