Marion was born on July 23, 1903 in Clarissa to Dennis and Leona Sales. He was raised in rural Clarissa where he farmed all of his life.
He was united in marriage to Viola Palmer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He enjoyed his garden, birds and hunting.
Marion was preceded in death by his wife Viola on May 11, 1994; parents; one grandson Ross; three brothers; and four sisters.
Interment was in Woodman Cemetery in Clarissa.
