DEATH COMES SUDDENLY TO MRS. SARAH ST. JOHN
Mother of Deputy Prosecutor Regester Expired Today.
Mrs. Sarah St. John, widow of Aaron St. John, formerly a farmer north of the city, died suddenly at 10:30 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Griffin in Indianapolis.
The word was received here about eleven o'clock by her son, deputy prosecutor Frank Regester while he was in the court room. Mr. Regester went to Indianapolis on the 12:40 train and Mrs. Regester and children departed for that city at 4:10 this afternoon.
Mrs. St. John was native of Monroe count [sic], Ohio, and removed from that state to Jay county, Indiana. She was 77 years old, her other child is Mrs. Eva Canada, of this city. The deceased united with the Quaker church at an early age and later joined the Methodist church.
