Funeral Services for Mr. Everett J. Bardin, 85, of Tishomingo will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Sister Joyce Ames officiating, assisted by Rev. Lyn Gaskey. Interment will follow in the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn. Mr. Bardin passed away on Thursday, March 11th, at his home.

Everett was born on May 3, 1924 in Okemah, Oklahoma to E. D. Bardin and Ida Fegett Bardin. He attended Tishomingo Schools and married Lois Sharp on July 26, 1947 in Tishomingo. Mr. Bardin owned and operated a service station for many years in different locations in the area and worked in the produce department of several grocery stores in Tishomingo. He also drove a propane truck for Stone’s Propane in Durant at one time.

Mr. Bardin was preceded in death by his parents and at his death had been the last remaining of nine children.

He is survived by his wife Lois, of the home; four sons, Charles Everett Bardin of Ardmore, James L. Bardin of Tishomingo, Wesley Bardin of the home and Steve Bardin of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Barbara Bardin of Ft. Worth, Texas and Dorothy Bardin Ansell of Tishomingo; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers for the service will be: Stan Parks, Gerald Parks, Chuck Bardin, Coy Bardin, Jerry Studdard and Richard West. Honorary Bearers will be: Danny Kite, Hansell
St. Clair and Bennie Nichols.
