HELEN JOSEPHINE LOGAN ELLIS
NEW CASTLE, Ind - Helen Josephine Ellis, 72, died Monday in Henry County Hospital.
She was born in Campbridge, Ohio, and came to New Castle in 1927. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Henry County chapter of American Red Cross - for which she served as a Gray Lady at Henry County Hospital. She was serving as Chaplain of the War Mothers.
She retired from Huntington Industries in 1973 after 24 years employment.
Her husband, Mike, died in February, 1977.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Ann (Richard) Moore, New Castle; a son, Jery Ellis, Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Hazel (Charles) Jackson, New Castle; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, an several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Couden-Hostetler Funeral Home, with Rev. David J. Van Dam officiating. Burial will be in Mooreland Cenetery.
Visiting will be 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Henry County Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
