Mrs Eliza Ellen Clemons, 74 died Thursday Sept 3 at 440am at her home in the Peonia community after a long illness. Born July 27, 1886, she was the daughter of Ben T and Lucy Meredith Alvey. She is survived by her husband Dave T Clemons; six daughters; Mrs Lizzie Luch of Bowling Green, Mrs Lelia Higdon of Grayson Springs, Mrs Alma Cook of Clarkson, Mrs Pauletta Grant of Peonia, Mrs Veronica Woosley of Rushville, IN and Mrs Irene Charbonneau of Leitchfield, three sons, Charlie and Joseph Clemons of Peonia and Anthony Clemons of Louisville; 61 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Friday at 11am at St Anthony Church of Peonia by Rev Walter Hancock. Burial was in the church cemetery, Ben L and Sid Rogers directing.
