HARRISONBBURG – Mrs. Mary Etta Adams, widow of Medford H. Adams of Rt. 2 Harrisonburg, died 4:30 Monday morning (Jan 18, 1971) at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
A daughter of Christian and Mary (Miller) Garber, she was born in Rockingham County May 13, 1879.
She was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Harrisonburg.
Her husband died July 6, 1967.
She is survived by three sons, Ora W., Rt. 2, Harrisonburg, Frank G. of Rt. 5, Harrisonburg, and David M. Adams of Mt. Crawford; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Wednesday morning from First Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Howard A. Miller, assisted by the Rev. Robert L. Sherfy and the Rev. I. J. Garber. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
The body is at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7:30 – 8:30 this evening. It will be taken to the church to remain for an hour prior to the services, and relatives are asked to meet at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home at 10:35 Wednesday morning for a brief service prior to leaving for the church.
Pallbearers will be Homer Lohr, Paul Adams, Fred L Guyer, Robert F. and Charles B. Knott, Rev. W. F. Garber, Olen G. Miller and J. S. Shickel.
