John W. Asbridge, 89, of Marion died at 1:53 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007 at Crittenden Hospital. He was born March 31, 1918 in Tiline.
Asbridge was a retired coal miner and attended Frances Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son, John "Sonny" Asbridge of Marion; a daughter, Mary Ann Johnson of Hillsdale, Ill., a special friend, Elsie Stone of Crayne; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ida Belle Ward Asbridge; a brother, Don Earl Asbridge; and a grandson, Jeffery Koon.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 28 at Myers Funeral Home in Marion with Bro. Darrell "Butch" Gray officiating. Burial was at Mapleview Cemetery in Marion.
