Roger Calvin Lucas
Roger Calvin Lucas, 41, of 3312 Abercorn Street died Monday at Memorial Medical Center after a short illness.
The native of Newark, N. J. was an engineering officer aboard the S. S. Amoco Connecticut and had served in the Merchant Marines for the past 16 years.
He was a member of the Marines Engineers Beneficial Association.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anita Burgsteiner Lucas of Savannah; his mother, Mrs. Doris Smith Lucas Lamb of Savannah; two brothers, James Ellison Lucas Jr. of Richmond, Va. and Lane Sanford Lucas of Savannah; a sister, Mrs. June
Ronaldue of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M. Wednesday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home, with burial in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
