MONROE Twp. — Vivian C. Alstetter, 66, of Monroe Twp., Ohio, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at her home after a four-month illness.
Born March 21, 1942, in Lakewood, Ohio, she was the daughter of Walter and Doris (Georgia) Toland.
An area resident most of her life, Mrs. Alstetter worked at one time at Rockwell in Ashtabula and Sunny Side in Albion, Pa. She enjoyed being with her Amish friends and transported members of area Amish families for the last 15 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Joetta Post (Doug Tyler) of Springboro, Pa., and Michelle Alstetter (Joey Manning) of Johnstown, Pa.; a sister, Sherie Clough of Urichsville, Ohio; her brother, Walter Toland of Hanover, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brandy (Larry Knicely) Sparks of Monroe Twp., Ohio, B.J. Loomis of Conneaut, Ohio, Danny (Alyssa) Loomis of Johnstown, Pa., and Jacqulen Hayes of Transfer, Pa.; and a great-granddaughter, Kortney Knicely.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, George W. Alstetter on June 10, 2003.
A private family graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family, in Kelloggsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16th, at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio.
Contributions may be made to the family in care of Marcy Funeral Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
