September 27, 1918-October 28, 2010 Ruby "Rusty" (McDaniel) Roy, went to be with the Lord, Oct. 28, 2010. "Rusty" was born in Kansas City, KS, on Sept. 27, 1918 where she lived for 91 years. She was the daughter of the late Charles E. McDaniel and Sylvia G. (Vaughn) McDaniel. She had one sister, Nellie Robinette (McDaniel), and two brothers, Ralph McDaniel and Homer "Mac" McDaniel. Her beloved husband, Ned Roy, preceded her in death in 1997. Rusty is survived by her daughter, Carol McAfee and her step daughters, Dora Kiosow and Helen Vannoy. She also is survived by her dear "baby brother", as she liked to refer to him, Mac McDaniel and his wife Anne, of Midway, AR. Rusty was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Rusty had many dear friends at Cross Lines Retirement Center in Kansas City, where she lived before moving to Arkansas last year. Rusty kept her sense of humor right up to the end and will be missed by many. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Chapel Hill- Butler Funeral Home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
