Margaret Drake was born near Charleston, Illinois, May 10, 1837. At an early age she came with her parents to Clark County where she has since resided. She was married November 26, 1856, to Henry M. Dempster. Four children were born to them, Ada, wife of J.W. Brennen of Armstrong, Margaret, wife of R.L. Warriner, Willie and Annie deceased.
Mr. And Mrs. Dempster have been members of the M.E. church for about 30 years.
Funeral services were held April 4 with Rev. White officiating and the remains laid to rest in the Marshall Cemetery.
