Lemuel married Lydia Ripley on 24 December 1786. They had one child:

Rev Barker's records about Lemuel's death reads "Lemuel, by smallpox, Feb. 1, 1789, age 28 yrs"

Lemuel died 5 days short of his 28th birthday. Note the inscription of the stone.
