Last Rites Held For Nettie Correll Sat. --
Funeral services were held here Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in the Methodist Church for Mrs. Nettie J. Correll, Rev. Ehert of North Loup officiating. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery.

The pallbearers were: Asa Watts, Scott Barr, Dr. Holm, J. W. Cox, Ted Smith and Jacob Hansen.

The Methodist Junior Choir sang Mrs. Correll's most favorite of all songs "It Came Upon The Midnight Clear" and two other songs she had chosen, "Stand Up For Jesus" and "My Faith Looks Up To Thee."

Nettie J., daughter of Wm. C. and Martha Pitchford, was born February 24, 1864 at Richview, Ill, and departed this life early Wednesday morning February 1 at her daughter Lillian's home at Crystal Lake, Grand Island, at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 7 days.

She was one of the early pioneers of Greeley County. On March 9, 1884 she was united in marriage to Wm. F. Correll at Richview, Ill. She later moved with her husband to Nebraska and homesteaded on a farm 10 miles north of Wolbach.

After the death of her husband in 1930, she moved to town where she lived until failing health prevented her living alone. Since then she has been with her daughters. In September she came to live with her daughter at Crystal Lake and has been bedfast for about six months.

She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters, Mrs. Josie Hill, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Melvin Hasenpflug, Crystal Lake, Grand Island and Mrs. Albert Skrivan Tilden; eleven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and a host of friends.

She was a faithful member and worker of the Methodist Church and Sunday School. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Royal Neighbors of America. She was a loving mother and wife and a friend to the entire community. In her early days she helped out with the sick and helped anyone and everyone whenever she was needed. She was the President of the Ladies Aid, President of the Woman's Club, Substitute Librarian and a Sunday School teacher. She was the last survivor of a family of nine.
