Linda Sue Adler, 60, of Longmont, died November 26, 2017 at Broomfield Skilled Nursing Center in Broomfield, CO after a 7-year battle with dementia. Linda was born April 5, 1957 in Rock Island, Illinois to Richard and Carol (Webb) Soady. Linda grew up in Illinois and eventually moved to Longmont, Colorado in 1984 with her daughter Annika. Annika died in 1987. She married Art Adler on February 16, 1990. Linda and Art enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping and spending time with friends and family. Linda was dedicated in her career and community; spending over 25 years as a dental office manager, and as a deacon and wedding coordinator at their church. She volunteered at Tiny Tim Learning Center, which Annika attended as a child. She also had an enduring love for animals, and volunteered at the Longmont Humane Society. Linda was known for her beautiful flower gardens, backyard bird houses and feeders, famous zucchini bread and love of music (especially Phil Collins). She also enjoyed playing Bingo and had an affinity for sweet treats. She was most known for her infectious laugh and positive spirit. Linda is survived by her Husband Art; Mother Carol Bayert, Bloomington, MN; Siblings: Beth Frey, Davenport, IA; Ken Soady, Des Moines, IA; Diane (John) Griffin, Colorado Springs; and Eve (Keith) Miller, Saint Cloud, MN; Step-Children: Tammi (Phil) Holcomb and Brian (Carole) Adler, both from Longmont; and Grandchildren: Emily and Easton Adler, Riley and Sydney Holcomb; as well as countless more family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Daughter Annika, Fathers Richard Soady and Mark Bayert, Mother- and Father-In-Law Ruth and Art Adler Sr., Daughter-in-law Tina Adler and Step-Grandson Taylor Thyfault; as well as her and Art’s beloved furry boys, Cody and Rudy. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Central Longmont Presbyterian Church, 4th Avenue and Kimbark Street followed by a reception at the Longmont Elks Lodge, 306 Coffman Street. Linda will be buried with Annika in Longmont at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Longmont Humane Society at 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont CO 80501 or the TLC Learning Center (formerly Tiny Tim) at 611 Korte Parkway, Longmont CO 80501; in Linda’s name.
