Louis J. Carlson, 88, of 1048 11th Ave. died in a nursing home in Longmont Tuesday night after several months of failing health.
The retired farmer was born in Sweden on June 30, 1876, and came to Longmont community about 1924 and farmed near here for several years, later moving into Longmont.
Mr. Carlson has been confined to the nursing home since the death of his wife, Carrie, last July 23. He is survived by a half sister, Mrs. Ida Bergman of Gothenburg, Neb. and a niece, Mrs. James Sherman of Lafayette.
Services will be Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Lewellen Chapel, with the Rev. Delbert Hargraves officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
