Lawrence "Larry" Bennett, Jr. passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010, surrounded by family at Central Washington Hospital, after a short battle with cancer. He was born June 28, 1961, to Lawrence and Eleanor Bennett and was raised in Wenatchee, graduating from Wenatchee High School in 1979. He worked for JR Simplot for 20 years. Larry enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, gardening and babysitting his niece, Taylor Billings. Larry was a great brother, uncle and son and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Barrett of Wenatchee; sisters, Sandy Bennett of Quincy, Sharon Chalk of Buckley and Patricia Billings (Todd) of Malaga; and brothers, Robert Bennett of Wenatchee and David Bennett of East Wenatchee. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Amber and Jennifer Bennett of Quincy, James and Robin Chalk of Buckley, Ryan and Grace Bennett of East Wenatchee and Taylor Billings of Malaga. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Bennett, Sr.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 16, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at the Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home in Wenatchee. Memorial donations may be made to the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society.
