Rose A. Bly, 85, of 35 21st Ave. SW, died Sunday in her home following a long illness. Memorial services and internment will be at a later date in New Oregon Cemetery near Cresco. The body was cremated. Turner Chapel West in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a brother, Ernest Ludwig of Harmony, Minn.; and three daughters, Mazie Nippe, Evangeline Ross and Eveline Griser, all of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. .
Born Dec. 19, 1905, in Cresco, she married William Leslie Bly there Nov. 27, 1924. He died in 1963. Rose had made her home with her daughter in Cedar Rapids for many years.
