Husband of Dorothy (Blanchard) Thayer.
Married: 17 DEC 1724 in Braintree, Norfolk, MA.

Resided in the South Precinct (Randolph) on land given by his father on North St. where he built a house with his brother Ezekiel. His wife Dorothy joined the church there in 1732.
On Jul.15,1746 James Penniman was made administrator of David Thayer (the index reads David Thayer estate, but the book (39-109) reads Cornelius Thayer, by error), and James Penniman was appointed same day as guardian to David aged 19, Ruth about 18, Abigail about 16, Dorothy about 13, children of David Thayer late of Braintree, yeoman. With this estate is also filed an inventory of Cornelius Thayer a minor, who deceased at Louisburg in His Majesty's service 1745. The account of James Penniman as administrator mentions "Paid to Ephraim Thayer Jr. who brought up the deceased from about 7 years of age until he enlisted in His Majesty's service at Louisburg, as an apprentice £10". His wages and bounty were £13/0/11.
