Andrew Anderson Died Monday P.M. –The community was saddened Monday night to learn of the sudden death of Andrew Anderson, former well known and highly respected citizen, at Harlan, Iowa, Monday afternoon about 4 o'clock. Mr. Anderson was in the Harlan post office shortly after dinner, where he collapsed. He was rushed to a hospital but passed away about two hours later. He and his family had left this community only a year ago last spring when they moved to Walnut, Iowa. The body is being brought to Wolbach for burial but as we go to press Wednesday we had not learned the time of the funeral.

Funeral services for Andrew C. Anderson, former widely known resident of this community who died at Harlan, Ia., a week ago Monday, were conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Trinity Lutheran church with the former pastor, Rev. E. N. Haugse, officiating. Interment was in the family plot in Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Behrman, Archie Nelson Ora Studley, Paul Paulsen, E. L. Johnson and Alvie Glenn.

Andrew C. Anderson was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on March 30, 1892 and passed away at Harlan, Ia., on Nov. 24, 1941 at the age of 49 years, 7 months and 24 days.

He lived with his parents in Iowa until the age of 17 years when he moved with them to a farm about 8 miles northeast of Wolbach, Neb., in which locality he lived until the spring of 1940. He then moved to a farm located about 6 miles north of Walnut, Iowa, at which place he lived at the time of his death.

On March 15, 1916, he was united in marriage to Leona Wibbels to which union nine children were born, Lawrence of Lincoln, Nebr., Hazel Bauer of Bridgeport, Nebr., John, Arthur, Marion, Jean and Jo Ann at home, Paul and Ralph having died in infancy.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church of Wolbach, Nebr., and was an active worker in church work while he lived there. He was also interested in all civic affairs and was always ready to help in anything for the good of the Church and community.

He leaves to mourn his death besides his family, three brothers, Chris of Wolbach, Bartle of Council Bluffs, Ia., and Torval of Lincoln, and two sisters, Mary Wibbels of Columbia, Mo., and Lollie Wibbels of Wolbach and one grandchild, together with a number of relatives and a host of friends.

Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Bartle Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Anderson of Council Bluffs, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Torval Anderson, Elaine and Dale of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Wibbels of Columbia, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Horatio Erskine and Edsel Wibbels of Lincoln, Harvey Anderson, Omaha, Mrs. Albert Wibbels, Elmer Wibbels and Irene Dalby, Arcadia, Mr. and Mrs. John Hatfield, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hatfield, Dannebrog; Mr. and Mrs. Chas Kasseldar, Pearl and Mrs. Florence Litchenburg, Mr. and Mrs. John Kasseldar, Mr. and Mrs.Frank Kasseldar, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kasseldar, all of Ericson, Mr. and Mrs. George Hatfield, Spalding, Mrs. Lena Gerdes, Mrs. R. A. White, Lincoln; John Nelson, Broken Bow, Mr. and Mrs. Darold Bussell of Scotia.

CARD OF THANKS – We wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the kind friends and neighbors who rendered us every possible assistance at the time of the death of our beloved husband, father and brother. We also desire to thank those who expressed their sympathy with beautiful floral tributes, the minister and the choir.
