Loudoun Times Mirror Thursday, March 10, 1983 Minnie Marcus Pomeroy Was Formerly of Loudoun

Minnie Marcus Pomeroy 93, a former Loudoun and Alexandria resident, died March 5 at a Spring House, Pa. nursing home following a long illness.
Born in Clarke-County March 3, 1890, she was a daughter of James and Ida Trenary Marcus.
Her husband, Samuel Scott Pomeroy, died Nov. 20, 1967.
Surviving are two daughters, Marguerite Thompson, Pottstown, Pa. and Elsie Hood of Woodstock; three sisters, Lutie Marcus of Beltsville, Md., Patience Marcus of Baltimore and Margaret Wadsworth of National Park, N.J.; one brother, Turner Marcus of Berryville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Hall Funeral Home, Purcellville, on Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Lee Strickler officiating. Internment will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7-9 p.m.
