COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Michael Aaron Herron, 53, of Shelbyville, will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Cookeville Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Dobbs Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 29, at Doak-Howell Funeral Home in Shelbyville, and Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of services at Cookeville Funeral Home.
Mr. Herron passed away suddenly Wednesday evening, Oct. 27, 2010, at Heritage Medical Center.
A native of Detroit, Mich., he was the son of Almedia Neeley and the late Aaron Herron. He was of the Baptist faith. Before becoming disabled, Mr. Herron worked for SK Wellman in maintenance and delivery. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, game roosters, motorcycles and cars.
In addition to his mother, his family includes an aunt, Vertema Maggard of Cookeville; an uncle, Phillip Hamilton of Milwaukee, Wis.; his nurse, Terri Orkies of Woodbury; and his caregiver, Judy Cook of Shelbyville.
In addition to his father, Mr. Herron was preceded in death by his stepfather, Thomas Neeley.

He was born June 3, 1957, to Almedia Roberts Neeley of Shelbyville, TN and the late Aaron Herron. Before becoming diabled Mr. Herron worked for SK Wellman in maintenance and delivery and he also loved all aspects of the outdoors such as Hunting, Fishing, Game Roosters, Motorcycles and Cars. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his mother, his aunt Vertema Maggard of Cookeville; uncle Phillip Hamilton of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; nurse Terri Orkies of Woodbury, TN; and caregiver Judy Cook of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather Thomas Neeley. Bro. Bill Stone will officate at the services. Pall Bearers will be family and friends.
