Wilma was born Oct. 4, 1922 in Brayton, Iowa to William and Esta (Smith) Dutler. She attended and graduated from Mankato High School.

On Sept. 11, 1948, Wilma married LeRoy Broecher. The couple lived in Mankato, St. Peter, and Winona before settling down in Austin where they raised their two children, Barbara Jo and Bradley Jon. Wilma worked at JC Penney and Red Owl Country Store. After his passing, Wilma enjoyed lunch dates with her grandchildren and her good friend, Norma Holton at Kenny's Oak Grill. She also enjoyed trying her luck at the casino and on scratch-off lottery tickets, solving crossword puzzles, reading books, and going to Adams for the chicken fry.

Wilma lived 88 wonderful years with her family and friends. In the last five months, she was blessed with the birth of two great granddaughters, Brekyn Louise Tieskoetter and Kaydence Jo Schaefer.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barb and Gregg Erstad; her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Sherry Broecher; three grandchildren: Evan (Shane) Tieskoetter; Kylene (Bryan) Schaefer; Garrett Erstad (special friend, Kelly Foster); two great-granddaughters; sisters: Trudy Dowd, Rockford, IL; Judith (Al) Grundmeier, Katy, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
