James B Wiegand, of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, February 10, 1997, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport. He was 52. The son of Henry B and Nellie Mae Gibson Wiegand, he was born on March 10, 1944, in Clark County, Missouri. He served in the U S Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He had been employed for 13 years with Hansaloy Corporation of Davenport, where he was a production laborer. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #235 of Davenport. He enjoyed playing pook, bowling, golf, gambling on the president Riverboat and playing with his dogs, Autumn and Sampson II. He is survived by a daughter Carla Wiegand of Davenport; two sons, Brad Koenig and his wife, Melinda, of Burlington, Iowa, and Chuck Koenig of Davenport; a stepson, Kevin Severs and his wife, Sherri, of Davenport; a grandson, Ryan; four step-grandchildren; two brothers: William S Wiegand of Woonsockett, Rhode Island, and Ronald Wiegand of Kahoka, Missouri; and his fiance, Sandy Seevers of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his infant sisters, Mary Lou and Marie Frances; and by his parents. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 13, 1997 at McGinnis, Chambers & Sass Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa, with Reverend Gary Beckman officiating. Pallbearers were Mike Aguirre, Kenny Peters, Don Berry, Mike Ockerman, Jim Diamond and Kevin Seevers. Interment was in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to an educational fund for his daughter.
