Prolific American motion picture actor, director, producer, and writer of the 1910s, 20s, and 30s. Appeared with the Marx Brothers in the 1935 comedy "A Night at the Opera." Married for a time to director, producer, actress, writer Lois Weber. She was the first woman to direct a full-length motion picture.
