COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Loid C. Anderson, 78, of Cookeville will be held today at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Mr. Anderson died Friday, April 23, 1999 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Jackson County on Dec. 13, 1920.
A retired tool and die maker for the Chrysler Corp., he was also a veteran of the US Air Force and member of the Willow Avenue Church of Christ.
His family includes his wife, Mazola Fox Anderson of Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Richard Birdwell of Cookeville; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie G. and Gail Anderson of Lebanon, Tenn.; a brother, Oliver Anderson of Cookeville; a sister, Clara Thompson of Cookeville; six grandchildren, Jeff Anderson of Estill Springs, Rhonda Stanfill of Memphis, Daniel and Brian Birdwell, both of Cookeville, Hunter Anderson of Lebanon and Jill Birdwell of Cookeville; and three great grandchildren, Alex Stanfill, Abbigayle Anderson and Ryan Stanfill.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Bethel, Tom, B.J., Sidney and Nick Anderson; and four sisters, Essie Ward, Daisie Neill, Johnnie Pearson and Dora McBroom.
Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate at the services.
