The Chico Enterprise, Chico, CA, Monday Evening, February 15, 1932: "Death Summons Mrs. E.J. White. Elizabeth Jane White, 62, a native of Missouri and a Chico resident since 1887, died yesterday afternoon at her home, 427 Flume Street.

"She was the widow of Henry C. White, who died in Chico in 1919. A member of the Broadway Methodist church, Beulah Rebekah Lodge No. 60, she also had the ... of being the oldest member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

"Mrs. White's survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Hayward and Miss Frances White of Chico; two sons, Harry White of Chico and William H. White of Sacramento, formerly of Chico, and four grandchildren.

"Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Bicknell and Moore chapel, with Rev. W. J. Lee of the Broadway Methodist church officiating. Beulah Rebeckahs will have charge of the graveside services in Chico cemetery."
