"Jake A. Watts, 90, of Council Bluffs Care Center died Monday at Mercy Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Bulls Gap, Tenn. he farmed for 30 years in the Bentley area. He has lived in Council Bluffs for the past 25 years, moving from McClelland.
Bessie died in 1984.
He is survived by two sons, Virgil of Missouri Valley and Charles of Council Bluffs; one daughter, Darlene Skocz of Omaha; one brother, Frank of Atlantic and one sister, Ruth Anderson of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren and six great grand-children.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McCurdy Funeral Home: Chapel with the Rev. Robert O. Boseck, associate pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Garner Township Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCurdy Funeral Home"
